Have you ever wondered what the city in the background of Wet-Dry World in Super Mario 64 looks like in real life? Well, that city is none other than the mountain village of Casares in the Malaga region of Southern Spain. For reference, the SM64 version of the city can be found here: 68.media.tumblr.com/c122c5ae06…, which is an obviously Photoshopped image of the town. The castle in the background of that image is the 12th-century Castillo de Casares.
